NWCPHP Public Health Management Certificate Program Sponsorship Opportunity
To meet the needs outlined in the 2024 - 25 Montana Workforce Development Plan, the PHSD Public Health System Improvement Office is offering scholarships for state, local, and tribal health department staff who want to broaden their knowledge of public health by obtaining a Public Health Management Certificate from the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice.
This 12-month program is designed to help public health professionals build core skills necessary to become successful managers in the workplace. This certificate program kicks off with a one-hour orientation webinar on June 25, 2025, followed by an in-person session in Seattle (August 18 – 21, 2025), plus weekly webinars September 2025 - July 2026.
Eligibility
Staff who are interested in the program should discuss the opportunity with their supervisors.
- Staff must obtain approval from their supervisor before completing application.
- Staff must have one year of public health experience.
- Staff must work for a state, local, or tribal health department in Montana.
- Staff must supervise at least one person or a program to participate.
