Holistic Leadership: Leading Through Uncertainty

From Montana Public Health Training Center & PH System Improvement Office (PHSD)

Managers and Team Leaders are asked to step up more today than ever. With growing degrees of uncertainty and changing workplace expectations, managers and leaders need to rise up to the opportunity to drive both performance and employee engagement in their teams. This free, 2-hour presentation will give an overview of why unexpected changes are difficult for organizations to manage, and an overview of three holistic approaches to leadership. Further, this presentation will put the pencil to the paper by practicing a holistic approach found in the enterprise strategic planning process.

By the end of the webinar, you'll be able to:

  • Summarize how unexpected change and uncertainty challenges the nervous system and how solutions lie within fundamental holistic leadership practices.
  • Explain example holistic and adaptive approaches to leadership using (1) management vs. leadership constructs, (2) personality theory, and (3) employee engagement.
  • Organize and practice a holistic leadership practice, the strategic planning process, which emphasizes stability, clarity, objectivity, and assertion.
