Hi!
My name is Brandi Williams, and I am currently the Disease Intervention Specialist for the Hill County Health Department. At this time I spend all of my time with COVID investigations.
My previous work was as a Victim Services Specialist, where I assisted victims of domestic and/or sexual abuse with a plethora of services, like legal assistance filing orders of protections, shelter, housing, child care, etc. I learned very much when it came to how abuse has an impact on public health for many generations.
I am a first-year student at UofM in their Masters of Public Health program. I plan to graduate spring of 2023. My special interests within my degree are reproductive health and rights, HIV and STD prevention, and advocacy for those patient populations.
